Swarnamouli Majumdar is a Data Science and Analytics researcher with strong cross-disciplinary experience in management consulting with clients, technical program management, and data science and analytics, and has held positions at Cognizant, Cummins, Aptiv, Indiana Department of Environmental Management and State Street Corporation working in Kolkata, India; Columbus and Indianapolis, Indiana; and Boston, Massachusetts.

Swarnamouli received her Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from the West Bengal University of Technology at Kolkata, India, in 2011. She received her Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Operations and Production Management from the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2016, and a Master of Science in Applied Data Science from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 2018. Among other publications and presentations globally, Swarnamouli received two national awards for innovation and creativity for two NIST-sponsored research projects in the mission-critical public safety domain in 2019-2020. She is the founder of a mission-critical and public safety technology startup Zenext LLC.

Her research area lies at the intersection of public safety / mission-critical technology, artificial intelligence, and analytics, and she is interested in responsible AI, and ethics in AI implementation from a crisis technology innovation perspective, leading to exploring research areas solving societal and civic problems.
